07/01/2024 MINUTES 2 <br /> <br />APPOINTMENT LYYSKI/C.SELF KC FAIR BOARD COMMISSIONERS <br /> <br />Vice-Chairman Osiadacz moved to approve and appoint Bobette Lyyski <br />and Claudia Self to the Kittitas County Fair Board for 3 year terms <br />effective immediately and for Ms. Lyyski’s to end on 12/31/2025 and <br />Ms. Self’s to end on 12/31/2026, as they are completing terms of <br />former members, so neither is a full 3 year term. Commissioner <br />Wright seconded. Motion carried 3-0. <br /> <br />APPOINTMENT JASON SELF / KITTITAS COUNTY DDAC COMMISSIONERS <br /> <br />Vice-Chairman Osiadacz moved to approve and appoint Jason Self to <br />the Kittitas County Developmental Disabilities Advisory Committee <br />for a 3-year term, effective immediately and to end 12/31/2025, as <br />he is completing a former members term. Commissioner Wright <br />seconded. Motion carried 3-0. <br /> <br />EXECUTIVE SESSION COMMISSIONERS <br /> <br />At 9:08 a.m. Chairman Wachsmith announced the Board would recess <br />into an Executive Session under RCW 42.30.110 (i) To discuss with <br />legal counsel representing the agency matters relating to agency <br />enforcement actions, or to discuss with legal counsel representing <br />the agency litigation or potential litigation to which the agency, <br />the governing body, or a member acting in an official capacity is, <br />or is likely to become, a party, when public knowledge regarding the <br />discussion is likely to result in an adverse legal or financial <br />consequence to the agency for 10 minutes with the Board and Ms. <br />Hartung. Possible action was anticipated. <br /> <br />At 9:18 a.m. the Board reconvened out of Executive Session. <br />Direction to Staff to amend the Opioid Settlement Claim Complaint. <br /> <br />DISCUSSION COUNTY FACEBOOK COMMISSIONERS <br /> <br />The Board determined that for the week of July 1, 2024, they would <br />post the following on their Facebook page: Patriot Night Concert <br />(Kids 10 and under are free) Tickets; Happy 4th of July Courthouse <br />Closed; Forest Service Press Release fireworks safety/bans. <br /> <br />UPDATE BOCC/ DEPARTMENT HEAD REPORTS COMMISSIONERS <br /> <br />Each Commissioner was assigned three different Department Heads to <br />meet with on a weekly basis for the year. The assignments for 2024 <br />were determined at the Board of County Commissioners Office Admin <br />meeting earlier on and they will continue to provide updates at <br />future meetings. <br /> <br />Each Commissioner reviewed discussions held with their respective
