05/20/2024 MINUTES 2 <br />DISCUSSION COUNTY FACEBOOK COMMISSIONERS <br /> <br />The Board determined that for the week of May 20th, 2024, they would <br />post the following on their Facebook page: WSDOT’s I-90 construction <br />information; Retirement of Holly Erdman; May 22nd Sleep Center Open <br />House; and the BLM Ribbon Cutting Ceremony that Commissioner Wright <br />attended. <br /> <br />UPDATE BOCC/ DEPARTMENT HEAD REPORTS COMMISSIONERS <br /> <br />Each Commissioner was assigned three different Department Heads to <br />meet with on a weekly basis for the year. The assignments for 2024 <br />were determined at the Board of County Commissioners Office Admin <br />meeting earlier on and they will continue to provide updates at <br />future meetings. <br /> <br />Each Commissioner reviewed discussions held with their respective <br />departments and exchanged details of those meetings. <br /> <br />OTHER BUSINESS/GENERAL UPDATES <br /> <br />There were general updates on meetings & conversations that the <br />Board participated in, individually over the past week. <br /> <br />Vice-Chairman Osiadacz presented the Board with a request from <br />Representative Schrier’s Office to meet with the Kittitas County <br />Board of Commissioners in some capacity to stay connected. The Board <br />discussed options and determined that quarterly would be a good <br />starting point. Vice-Chairman Osiadacz stated she would follow up <br />with the Congresswoman’s Office and ask them to work with the <br />Board’s Staff to set up quarterly meetings. <br /> <br />There was discussion over Lodging Tax and Commissioner Wright and <br />Chairman Wachsmith wishing to understand the process more. <br /> <br />Amy McGuffin, Chamber CEO, stated she would add that to her next <br />quarterly ADO Update. Vice-Chairman Osiadacz stated she would like <br />Roylene Crawford added to the discussion as she has been on the LTAC <br />for so many years. <br /> <br />Meeting concluded at 10:00 a.m. <br /> <br />KITTITAS COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />OFFICE ADMINISTRATOR KITTITAS COUNTY, WASHINGTON <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />Mandy Buchholz Brett Wachsmith, Chairman
