BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />COUNTY OF KITTITAS <br />STATE OF WASHINGTON <br />RESOLUTION NO.2024- <br />AUTHORIZING THE FLOOD CONTROL ZONE DISTRICT ADMINISTRATOR <br />TO SIGN EASEMENT DOCUMENTS WITH KERRY AND JOHN WOODS <br />WHEREAS: Public Works has negotiated funding from DR Horton satisfying final plat <br />conditions for phases one and two of the Black Horse at Whiskey Creek <br />final plat mitigating for impacts to Whiskey Creek; and <br />WHEREAS: The Kittitas County Flood Control Zone District has negotiated an <br />easement along Whiskey Creek across lands owned by Kerry and John <br />Woods; and <br />WHEREAS: The Kittitas County Board of County Commissioners have been briefed on <br />the proposed easement acquisition and directed staff proceed to secure the <br />proposed Whiskey Creek easement; and <br />WHEREAS: Acquisition funding is in the Flood Control Zone District 2024 fund <br />budget and is available for expenditure; and <br />NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED: The Board of County Commissioners, after <br />due consideration, does hereby authorize the Flood Control Zone District Administrator <br />to acquire an easement from Kerry and John Woods in the amount of $175,000.00. <br />DATED this 41h day of June 2024, at Ellensburg, Washington <br />Attest: <br />❑ Clerk of the Board- Julie Kjorsvik <br />BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />KITTITAS COUNTY, WASHINGTON <br />Brett Wachsmith, Chairman <br />Laura Osiadacz, Vice -Chairman <br />❑ Deputy Clerk of the Board- Mandy Buchholz <br />Cory Wright, Commissioner <br />
