BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />COUNTY OF KITTITAS <br />STATE OF WASHINGTON <br />RESOLUTION <br />NO. <br />AUTHORIZING CONTRACTING AUTHORITY FOR $50,000 FOR THE COMMUNITY <br />DEVELOPMENT SERVICES DIRECTOR <br />WHEREAS: The Board of County Commissioners recently appointed Mr. Chad Bala as the <br />Director of Community Development Services; and <br />WHEREAS: The Board of County Commissioners recently authorized the contracting with two <br />planning firms for task orders contracting with Community Development Services <br />(Resolution 2024-071); and <br />WHEREAS: There is an immediate need to engage planning consultants on delivering needed <br />land use planning support services; and <br />WHEREAS: The Director of Community Development Services is requesting $50,000 in <br />contract task orders authority to immediately begin using the authorized planning <br />support services consultants. <br />NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED: The Board of County Commissioners, after due <br />consideration, does hereby authorize the Director of Community Development Services to <br />negotiate and sign planning services task orders in the amount of $50,000 per task order for the <br />contract period. <br />DATED this 2 1 " day of May 2024, at Ellensburg, Washington. <br />Attest: <br />❑ Clerk of the Board- Julie Kjorsvik <br />❑ Deputy Clerk of the Board- Mandy Buchholz <br />BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />KITTITAS COUNTY, WASHINGTON <br />Brett Wachsmith, Chairman <br />Laura Osiadacz, Vice -Chairman <br />Cory Wright, Commissioner <br />
