KITTITAS COUNTY PUBLIC WORKS STUDY SESSION MINUTES COMMISSIONERS' AUDITORIUM, 205 WEST 5TH ROOM 109 Regular Meeting MONDAY 1:30 PM May 13, 2024 Board members present: Chairman Brett Wachsmith, Vice -Chairman Laura Osiadacz. Others: Mark Cook, Josh Fredrickson, Cameron Curtis, Rebecca Cruse, Public Works; Chad Bala, Jessica Miller, Community Development Services; Stephanie Hartung, Doug Mitchell, Prosecuting Attorney's Office; Darren Higashiyama, Chris Whitsett, Angela Bugni, Kittitas County Sheriff's Office; No members of the public. At 1:30 PM Chairman Brett Wachsmith opened the Public Works Study Session. No Citizen Comments. SEARCH AND RESCUE BOUNDARY LINE ADJUSTMENT Cameron Curtis briefed the Board of County Commissioners on changes needed to the layout of the property for the Search and Rescue Facility. Cameron Curtis stated that the City of Cle Elum has approved this Boundary Line Adjustment as it will allow for the well to have the required setbacks entirely on the County owned land. Direction to Staff was to prepare enabling documents including deeds to facilitate Boundary Line Adjustment. At 1:33 PM the Board of County Commissioners announced they would recess into Executive Session for 15 minutes with Mark Cook, Josh Fredrickson, Cameron Curtis, Chad Bala, and Stephanie Hartung per RCW 42.30.110(i) To discuss with legal counsel representing the agency matters relating to agency enforcement actions, or to discuss with legal counsel representing the agency litigation or potential litigation to which the agency, the governing body, or a member acting in an official capacity is, or is likely to become, a party, when public knowledge regarding the discussion is likely to result in an adverse legal or financial consequence to the agency.
