05/06/2024 MINUTES 2 <br />however the Committee is wishing to have the Board appoint someone <br />who will attend. <br /> <br />The Board discussed pros and cons of removing the member but <br />determined for the time being they would keep the membership the <br />same. <br /> <br />Mr. Bala indicated that he has been made aware that the member will <br />be at this next meeting and the Committee will talk with them at <br />that time. <br /> <br />DISCUSSION COUNTY FACEBOOK COMMISSIONERS <br /> <br />The Board determined that for the week of May 6, 2024, they would <br />post the following on their Facebook page: Drug Take Back/Shredding <br />Event success; Retirement Announcements for Lisa Ferguson, Legal <br />Process Assistant III; Lisa Soderstrom, Legal Process Coordinator <br />and Diana Mackenzie, Upper Dist. Court Administrator, and a Kudos <br />the Public Works Bridge Inspection Crew. <br /> <br />UPDATE BOCC/ DEPARTMENT HEAD REPORTS COMMISSIONERS <br /> <br />Each Commissioner was assigned three different Department Heads to <br />meet with on a weekly basis for the year. The assignments for 2024 <br />were determined at the Board of County Commissioners Office Admin <br />meeting earlier on and they will continue to provide updates at <br />future meetings. <br /> <br />Each Commissioner reviewed discussions held with their respective <br />departments and exchanged details of those meetings. <br /> <br />OTHER BUSINESS/GENERAL UPDATES <br /> <br />There were general updates on meetings & conversations that the <br />Board participated in, individually over the past week. <br /> <br />Staff requested the Board’s feedback on a meeting request from the <br />Executive Director of Centerfuse. The Board directed Staff to <br />decline the request as it was not the right time for that type of <br />meeting. <br /> <br />EXECUTIVE SESSION COMMISSIONERS <br /> <br />At 9:48 a.m. Chairman Wachsmith announced the Board would recess <br />into an Executive Session under RCW 42.30.110 (g) To evaluate the <br />qualifications of an applicant for public employment or to review <br />the performance of a public employee.
