Methodology <br />Narrative * <br />Application Questions: Part 5 <br />Please explaio. <br />Beginning in 2022, WSSSM took advantage of QR codes being more popular anc <br />has asked each visitor to fill out a "Visitor Survey" which asks zip code and overnight <br />siay info. This Represenlatrve Survey provided incredible rniormation for us: 12% of <br />visitors are staying overnight in a hotel or Air B n B and another 6% are staying <br />overnight in a private home. Previous informal surveys had indicated 5% oi guests <br />were staying overnight. Survey data also indicates lhal g7olo of visitors are from <br />outside Kittitas County. Previous estimates were lhat 90% were from outside the <br />county. Survey data indicates that 13% of visitors are irom outside Washington <br />State- <br />Measuring Results <br />. Visitors are counted as they enter the museum by volunteers and tabulated on <br />excel spreadsheels <br />. Visitors are encouraged to use the QR code with thei. phone and fill out the 3- <br />questions .risitor survey to iabulate zip codes and overnighl stays <br />. Tracking average visitors per month and per season and comparing it to prior <br />results can help us lrack successful campaigns. <br />The attached report shows cietails of our visitor survey: <br />. 2022 visilors were 5,250, nearing pre-pandemic levels. We are currently open 3 <br />days per week (155 days per year) and in 2019 we \i1ere open 4 days per week (208 <br />clays). Our average number of visitors per day has gone from 29 in 2019 to 34 in <br />2022 <br />.
