5l Future Plans <br />Please explain what plans exist to allow this project to become self-sustaining. lnclude any plans for ticket sales, event <br />sponsors, and other cost-recovery n'lodels. <br />Future Plans*We have been successful in securing funding from businesses willing to support our <br />projects, particularly our large evenls and capital projects. Through data and <br />matrices, we will be able to gauge and monitor our success in attracting visitors from <br />outside of Kittitas County. Using this data, we will approach our partners and other <br />businesses and organizalions and ask ior their financial suppor! regarding <br />advertising and outreach. <br />The Croaiian Picnic funds our other free events which are open to the public <br />including the King Coal Ceremony, events at the Roslyn Cemetery, and guest <br />speakers. The Heritage Club has a scholarship in place that is awarded to a local <br />high school senior which is also funded by proceeds from the Croatian Picnic. Our <br />goal is to have all events be self-sustaining and able to fund our free events. Funds <br />from our events also help support our role of maintaining the Roslyn Cemetery and <br />Coal Miners'Memorial. <br />We are aclively working on increasing the awareness of our mission and including <br />sponsors to help sustain all our activities, not just our evenls. Our supporters are <br />exciied to be involved when they see what we are accomplishing. For example, the <br />Croatian Picnic in the past has had lhree major sponsors, this year added two <br />additional major sponsors and we didn't solicit them, they came to us! <br />We also have a goal of increasing volunteer participation with the focus on <br />encouraging multiple generations to be more involved. We also need to do a better <br />job of tracking our volunteer hours. <br />We are actively working on increasing opportunities to provide our members and <br />visitors with local lodging choices. lmproving how we capture information about local <br />lodging nights for our events and on our visitor log at the Roslyn Cemetery is also <br />part of that plan. <br />2500 characler linit <br />Application Questions: ?art 4 <br />6l Additional lnformation <br />Provide any additional information which will assist the Lodging Tax Advisory Committee in evaluating your project and its <br />benefit to tourism. <br />Additional lnformation Our plan in 2A24 is to continue to encourage Cultural Tourism. The visitors are here. <br />How do we attract their attention to educaie and share our unique and treasured <br />heritage sites and history? And how do we spread the load and get heads in beds <br />during the less busy times such as during lhe week? This is something we will <br />continue to improve and work on in 2Q24.
