CITY OF CLE ELUM
Planning Department
STAFF REPORT
Proposed code amendments to Chapter 13.12, Water Regulations
AGENDA DATE: March 26, 2024
ACTION REQUESTED: Ordinance 1668
BACKGROUND: The city currently owns and maintains a water fill station located
at the Memorial Park Ball Field and Parking Lot off South Cle
Elum Way. The water fill station is designated for construction
purposes exclusively and is not deemed safe for potable
consumption.
RECOMMENDATION:
ATTACHMENTS
During the Public Works and Community Development
Committee meeting on March 7, 2024, concerns regarding the
usage of the city's water fill station were brought to light. Staff
expressed a desire to address reports of improper usage and
servicing of customers beyond the city's service area.
In light of safeguarding the integrity of the city's vital water
supply, the committee proposes certain amendments to the
existing municipal code, as well as updates to the existing
application. These amendments aim to address and regulate the
usage of the water fill station effectively.
Adoption of Ordinance No. 1668
Staff Report; Ordinance
LEAD STAFF: Colleda Monick, City Planner
