BOARD OF COUNTY COMNUSSIONERS <br />KITTITAS COUNTY <br />STAFF REPORT <br />STUDY SESSION DATE: 4/09/2024 <br />TOPIC: Historic Courthouse grant <br />ACTION REQUESTED: Discussion on grant opportunity <br />LEAD STAFF <br />Patti Stacey, Facilities Director. <br />RECOMMENDATION <br />No recommendation, discussion. <br />BACKGROUND <br />Washington Trust for Historic Preservation has a grant opportunity available for Historic County Courthouse <br />Rehabilitation. Kittitas County Courthouse is on the historic register and would qualify for the grant. This grant <br />is for the 2025-27 biennium and is only for courthouse rehabilitation. <br />This grant could help with the exterior preservation/rehabilitation of the exterior and interior and ADA <br />improvements of the building, but it will not help with the needed electrical and space improvements for the <br />courthouse. <br />FISCAL IMPACTS <br />County would be responsible for matching funds for the grant. <br />ATTACHMENTS <br />Grant summary <br />Page 1 of 1 <br />
