KITTITAS COUNTY <br />PUBLIC WORKS STUDY SESSION MINUTES <br />COMMISSIONERS' AUDITORIUM, 205 WEST 5TH ROOM 109 <br />Regular Meeting <br />MONDAY 1:30 PM MARCH 25, 2024 <br />Board members present: Chairman Brett Wachsmith, Vice Chairman Laura <br />Osiadacz, and Commissioner Cory Wright. <br />Others: Arden Thomas, Josh Fredrickson, Rebecca Cruse, Public Works; <br />Stephanie Hartung, Prosecuting Attorney's Office; Mandy Buchholz, <br />Commissioners Office; no members of the public. <br />At 1:30 PM Chairman Brett Wachsmith opened the Public Works Study <br />Session. <br />No Citizen Comments. <br />REQUEST TO APPROVE A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING CHAIR SIGNATURE ON <br />DIGITAL SUBMITTAL CERTIFICATION TO THE COUNTY ROAD ADMINISTRATION <br />BOARD <br />Josh Fredrickson requested the Board of County Commissioners approve <br />a resolution authorizing the annual digital submittal of <br />certification to the County Road Administration Board. Vice Chairman <br />Laura Osiadacz motioned to approve Resolution 2024-050 and <br />Commissioner Cory Wright seconded the motion. Resolution 2024-050 <br />approved. <br />FEMA LETTER DISCUSSION <br />Arden Thomas briefed the Board of County Commissioners on a notice of <br />FEMA's effort to improve flood models in stream areas in the east end <br />of Kittitas Valley and east of Cle Elum. It was observed that there <br />will be a gap in modeling on Wilson and Naneum streams. Staff will <br />continue to coordinate with FEMA as they review the maps for <br />improvements. <br />Meeting concluded at 1:41 PM <br />2024-03-25 MINUTES <br />
