BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />COUNTY OF KITTITAS <br />STATE OF WASHINGTON <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2024 - <br />TO FORMULATE THE KITTITAS COUNTY SHORT-TERM RENTAL COMMITTEE <br />WHEREAS: The Kittitas County Board of County Commissioners have received numerous <br />public comments regarding short term rentals in upper Kittitas County; and <br />WHEREAS: The Kittitas County Board of County Commissioners directed staff pursue <br />formulation of a short-term rental committee and solicit for participation in an <br />advisory committee determining the need for legislation; and <br />WHEREAS: Public Works solicited for interested individuals and received applications; and <br />WHEREAS: Community Development Services staff will provide planning staff to support the <br />committee; and <br />WHEREAS: The Board of County Commissioners remanded the list of appointees to staff to <br />vet for active code enforcement issues and for full home residence in the county. <br />NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of County Commissioners, in the <br />best interest of the public, does hereby approve the formulation of the Kittitas County Short <br />Term Rental Committee that shall be responsible to determine need for legislation related to <br />short term rentals in the County; and <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Board of County Commissioners appoints the <br />individuals listed in Amended Exhibit A to the Kittitas County Short Term Rental Committee. <br />DATED this 5`h day of March 2024, at Ellensburg, Washington. <br />Attest: <br />❑ Clerk of the Board- Julie Kjorsvik <br />❑ Deputy Clerk of the Board- Mandy Buchholz <br />BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />KITTITAS COUNTY, WASHINGTON <br />Brett Wachsmith, Chair <br />Laura Osiadacz, Vice -Chair <br />Cory Wright, Commissioner <br />
