G'd`1 ` cm <br />AUTHORIZING THE KITTITAS COUNTY CHAMBER OF COMMERCE AS <br />SUBRECIPI.ENT ON A UNITED STATES DEPARTMENT OF AGRICULTURE RURAL <br />BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT GRANT AND TO APPLY FOR SAID GRANT <br />WHEREAS: The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) is offering a Rural <br />Business Development Grant (RBDG) due February 28, 2024; and <br />WHEREAS: The Kittitas County Chamber of Commerce (KCCC) is offering to serve as <br />grant subrecipient and to prepare the grant on behalf of the county; and <br />WHEREAS: The USDA RBDG does not require any grant match on the part of the county; <br />and <br />WHEREAS: The grant will be used to assess the potential for the county to serve the <br />biomass industry with products and supply chain resulting in an industry <br />"rating" for the county. <br />NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED: The Board of County Commissioners, after due <br />consideration, does hereby authorize the Kittitas County Chamber of Commerce to serve as the <br />county's grant subrecipient and apply for the USDA RBDG on behalf of the county. <br />DATED this 26' day of February 2024, at Ellensburg, Washington. <br />tti l'cU;t��t. <br />"- BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />KITTITAS COUNT}';" SHINGTON <br />Brett W chsmit , Chairman <br />u -I Clerk of the Board- Julie Kjorsvik <br />Vice -Chairman <br />❑ Deputy Clerk of the Board- Mandy Buchholz <br />
