BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />COUNTY OF KITTITAS <br />STATE OF WASHINGTON <br />RESOLUTION NO.2024 - <br />ESTABLISHING STANDARD TERM FOR GROUND LEASES AT BOWERS FIELD AIRPORT <br />WHEREAS: Kittitas County owns and operates Bowers Field Airport; and <br />WHEREAS: Aeronautical leases are subject to Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) rules and <br />regulations along with mandated compliance with grant assurances; and <br />WHEREAS: Kittitas County leases property within the Aeronautical Area (inside the fence) for <br />aviation purposes and desires being compliant with FAA lease obligations and guidance; <br />and <br />WHEREAS: Long term aeronautical leases are in the interest of the County and Lessor; and <br />NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of County Commissioners, in the best interest <br />of the public, does hereby establish the standard term for ground leases in the aeronautical area at thirty <br />(30) years.
