BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />COUNTY OF KITTITAS <br />STATE OF WASHINGTON <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2024- <br />RE-AUTHORIZING THE CHAIR'S SIGNATURE ON THE QUIT CLAIM DEED FOR <br />THE DUNFORD BARN <br />WHEREAS: <br />The owner of the Dunford Barn has offered the barn to Kittitas County <br />for preserving the barn for tourism purposes; and <br />WHEREAS: <br />The Board of County Commissioners have directed Public Works staff to <br />plan for and place the Dunford Barn onto the County's Recreation and <br />Tourism Capital Facility Plan; and <br />WHEREAS: <br />Public Works has placed Dunford Barn access improvements onto the <br />2024 — 2029 Recreation and Tourism Capital Facility Plan; and <br />WHEREAS: <br />The deed conveying the Dunford Barn to Kittitas County is prepared for <br />signature by the Chair of the Board of County Commissioners; and <br />WHEREAS: <br />The deed authorized the Chairman on January 16, 2024, has been <br />determined by the grantor to require revision; and <br />WHEREAS: <br />The required revisions have been reviewed and been determined to be <br />acceptable by the Board of County Commissioners for the Chairman's <br />signature. <br />NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED: The Board of County Commissioners, after due <br />consideration, does hereby authorize the Chair's signature on the Quit Claim for the Dunford <br />Barn and directs staff record the deed with the Auditor's Office. <br />DATED this 6" day of February 2024, at Ellensburg, Washington. <br />Attest: <br />❑ Clerk of the Board- Julie Kjorsvik <br />❑ Deputy Clerk of the Board- Mandy Buchholz <br />BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />KITTITAS COUNTY, WASHINGTON <br />Brett Wachsmith, Chairman <br />Laura Osiadacz, Vice -Chairman <br />Cory Wright, Commissioner <br />
