BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />COUNTY OF KITTITAS <br />STATE OF WASHINGTON <br />ORDINANCE NO. 2024 - <br />ESTABLISHMENT OF AN ALL -WAY STOP SIGN PLACEMENT AT THE <br />INTERSECTION OF KITTITAS HIGHWAY AND NO.6 ROAD AND <br />AMENDING SECTION 10.12.010 STOPS AND YIELD STREETS OF THE <br />KITTITAS COUNTY CODE <br />WHEREAS: The Department of Public Works conducted a review of the intersection of <br />Kittitas Highway at No. 6 Road for traffic and safety; and <br />WHEREAS: The Board of Kittitas County Commissioners did hold a public hearing on <br />Tuesday, February 6, 2024 at 2:00 pm to hear public testimony regarding <br />the placement of all -way stop sign at the subject intersection; and <br />WHEREAS: The Kittitas County Board of County Commissioners have determined <br />that an all -way stop sign meets the criteria of the 2009 Manual on Uniform <br />Traffic Control Devices for crash data Criteria 2B.07(B). <br />NOW, THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED that the Kittitas County Board of County <br />Commissioners, after due deliberation and in the best interest of the <br />public, does hereby establish an all -way stop at the intersection of Kittitas <br />Highway and No. 6 Road amending Kittitas County Code Section <br />10.08.020 as indicated in Exhibit A. <br />BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED that this ordinance will become effective upon the <br />installation of the appropriate signage. <br />ADOPTED this 6 b day of February 2024, at Ellensburg, Washington. <br />Attest: <br />❑ Clerk of the Board- Julie Kjorsvik <br />❑ Deputy Clerk of the Board- Mandy Buchholz <br />BOARD OF COUNTY <br />COMMISSIONERS <br />KITTITAS COUNTY, WASHINGTON <br />Brett Wachsmith, Chairman <br />Laura Osiadacz, Vice -Chairman <br />Cory Wright, Commissioner <br />
