BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />COUNTY OF KITTITAS <br />STATE OF WASHINGTON <br />RESOLUTION <br />NO. 2024- <br />AUTHORIZING THE CHAIR'S SIGNATURE ON FEDERAL EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT <br />AGENCY COMMUNITY RATING SYSTEM VERIFICATION FORM <br />WHEREAS: Kittitas County is enrolled in the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) <br />Community Rating System (CRS); and <br />WHEREAS: This federal program lowers flood insurance premiums for all county residents receiving <br />federal flood insurance; and <br />WHEREAS: Every five years, FEMA conducts a full verification visit to evaluate Kittitas County's <br />CRS activities, credit, and rating; and <br />WHEREAS: Chair signature is required on form CC-230 Verification (FEMA FORM 086-0-35A); <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of County Commissioners, in the best interest <br />of the public, does hereby authorize the Chair's signature on the 2024 FEMA Community <br />Rating System Verification form. <br />DATED this 6" day of February, 2024, at Ellensburg, Washington. <br />Attest: <br />❑ Clerk of the Board- Julie Kjorsvik <br />❑ Deputy Clerk of the Board- Mandy Buchholz <br />BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />KITTITAS COUNTY, WASHINGTON <br />Brett Wachsmith, Chairman <br />Laura Osiadacz, Vice -Chairman <br />Cory Wright, Commissioner <br />
