KITTITAS COUNTY <br />BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />AGENDA STAFF REPORT <br />AGENDA DATE: February 6, 2024 <br /> <br />ACTION REQUESTED: <br />Approve Resolution authorizing Amendment A for FISH <br />CDBG-SR 2021-2022 Food Bank and Food Pantry Expansion <br />Project <br /> <br /> <br />BACKGROUND: <br />The Board of County Commissioners signed a subrecipient <br />agreement between Kittitas County and Friends in Service to <br />Humanity (FISH) for CDBG General Purpose Grant Funds <br />agreement 21-62210-030 for $900,000. The subrecipient <br />agreement included wording in section 4 Payment that the local <br />government will retain $3,500.00 from the final/closeout <br />reimbursement to reflect fees for administrative services <br />provided during the term of this agreement. After review with <br />WA State Dept of Commerce and FISH, this wording was <br />incorrect as these funds will not be withheld from this grant at <br />final closeout but rather billed directly to FISH outside of the <br />contract funds. <br /> <br />WA State Department of Commerce has submitted <br />Amendment A amending language to the County’s original <br />agreement, and therefore this language needs to be updated in <br />the FISH subrecipient agreement. <br /> <br />This Amendment A to the FISH CDBG-SR agreement will: <br /> <br />• Remove language that the local government will retain <br />$3,500.00 from subrecipient’s final/closeout to reflect <br />fees for administrative services provided during the term <br />of this agreement <br /> <br />• Add under Section 6 Special Conditions: Build America, <br />Buy America requirement <br /> <br />• Replace section 7 with updated Acknowledgement of <br />Federal Funds language <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />
