01/29/2024 MINUTES 2 Ellensburg Raquet and Recreation Center. Chairman Wachsmith seconded. Motion carried 2-0. REQUEST BANNERS – UPPER COUNTY SCHOOLS COMMISSIONERS The Board agreed to pay for a request for funding of two or three banners for the Upper County schools, for a temporary art project, to hang on the construction fencing during the construction of Unity park, and to have the funding come out of their budget, of approximately $144.00 plus tax, per banner. SCHEDULE COMMISSIONERS OFFICE SCHEDULE COMMISSIONERS Commissioner Wright said he would be available on Monday and Tuesday of Spring Break so there will be a quorum to conduct regular business, and no need to change their regular schedule. The Board agreed to close the Commissioners Office on Friday July 5, 2024. The Board advised Staff to not schedule any Public Hearings on November 19, 2024, as they would be traveling to the annual WSAC conference. DISCUSSION COUNTY FACEBOOK COMMISSIONERS The Board determined that for the week of January 29, 2024, they would post the following on their Facebook page: Airport FBO update (Commissioner Wright to obtain photos and provide the written update to Staff); and the I-90 Steering project public meeting summary. UPDATE BOCC/ DEPARTMENT HEAD REPORTS COMMISSIONERS Each Commissioner was assigned three different Department Heads to meet with on a weekly basis for the year. The assignments for 2024 were determined at the Board of County Commissioners Office Admin meeting earlier on and they will continue to provide updates at future meetings. Each Commissioner reviewed discussions held with their respective departments and exchanged details of those meetings. WHITE BOARD UPDATES The Board provided updates on the projects listed out on their White Boards.
