BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />COUNTY OF KITTITAS <br />STATE OF WASHINGTON <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2024 - <br />AUTHORIZE CHAIR SIGNATURE ON THE STANDARD TITLE VI/NON- <br />DISCRIMINATION ASSURANCES BETWEEN KITTITAS COUNTY AND FEDERAL <br />HIGHWAY ADMINISTRATION AND THE TITLE VI ANNUAL ACCOMPLISHMENT <br />UPDATE REPORT <br />WHEREAS: The Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) requires that any local agency <br />which receives any federal grants, loans, contracts, property, discounts, or other <br />Federal assistance extended by Washington State Department of Transportation <br />(WSDOT) annually approve and sign Standard Title VI/Non-Discrimination <br />Assurances; and <br />WHEREAS: WSDOT requires an updated Title VI Annual Accomplishments and Goals Report <br />because Kittitas County received federal funds during the reporting period for <br />2023. <br />NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of County Commissioners, in the <br />best interest of the public, does hereby approve the Chair's signature on the attached United <br />Stated Department of Transportation Standard Title VI/Non-Discrimination Assurances and <br />submittal of the Title VI Annual Accomplishments and Goals Report. <br />DATED this 16'h day of January 2024, at Ellensburg, Washington. <br />Attest: <br />❑ Clerk of the Board- Julie Kjorsvik <br />❑ Deputy Clerk of the Board- Mandy Buchholz <br />BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />KITTITAS COUNTY, WASHINGTON <br />Brett Wachsmith, Chairman <br />Laura Osiadacz, Vice -Chairman <br />Cory Wright, Commissioner <br />
