Extra functionality and access to IPAWS is critical, There is a need to establish a process for promptly distributing <br />emergency communlcations in multiple languages throughout the county in a timely manner so indivlduals can take appropriate <br />action during an emergency." <br />- The vast different geographic terraln in Region 7 makes emergent publlc notification impossible wlthout a mass alert and <br />warnlng system, Region 7 is susceptible to natural disasters, domestic terrorist threats, and crimlnal activity; a sustained mass <br />notification system is a critlcal gap for the communities. <br />ACT'VEIES TO BE PERFORMED <br />Renew annual Emergency Alert and Warning System contracts for2024for the counties in Region 7 {Chelan, Douglas, Grant, <br />Kittitas, Okanogan). <br />COLLABORATION <br />This ls a regional project that will benefit all of the Region 7 communities. <br />ASSO CTATE D DEUVEqABLES/O UTqUTS A M M ED//ATE) <br />Thls proJect will allow all of Reglon 7 to have the abllity to quickly and effectlvely notify the public of threats or hazards in the <br />area, The alert system ls also the conduit to IPAWS.
