More specifically, this Article addresses the following purposes:
A. Prevention of accelerated soil erosion and control stormwater runoff resulting from land
disturbing activities both during and after construction through the use of Best
Management Practices (BMPs).
B. Reduce the need for costly maintenance and repairs to roads, embankments, ditches,
streams, wetlands, and stormwater control facilities due to inadequate soil erosion and
stormwater runoff control.
C. Reduce stormwater runoff rates and volumes, soil erosion, sediment, and nonpoint
source pollution from development and redevelopment through stormwater BMP.
D. Help protect individual property rights, preserve fish habitat, and promote sound
development activities which respect and preserve water quality.
E.
