General Information <br /> <br />12.04.01.010 Purpose. <br />The purpose of this chapter is to define the criteria for design of public and private roads and <br />bridges in Kittitas County. Additional purpose statements are located in KCC 12.01.010. <br /> <br />12.04.01.020 Applicability. <br />This chapter applies to the design of facilities for which review and approval by the Kittitas <br />County Department of Public Works is required. This includes all roadways, streets, driveways, <br />bridges, roadway drainage, utilities, and various roadside features. Additional applicability <br />details are located in KCC 12.01.020. <br />12.04.01.030 General Design Requirements. <br />All road construction that meets the applicability of this section shall be designed by or under <br />the direct supervision of a civil engineer, licensed to practice in the State of Washington. All <br />construction drawings, reports (geotechnical, drainage, pavement designs etc.), and supporting <br />data submitted to the County must bear the seal and signature of the Engineer of Record. <br /> <br />Additional general requirements are as follows:
