BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />COUNTY OF KITTITAS <br />STATE OF WASHINGTON <br />RESOLUTION <br />NO. <br />AUTHORIZING THE PUBLIC WORKS/COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT <br />SERVICES DIRECTOR TO EXECUTE A PROFESSIONAL SERVICES <br />AGREEMENT WITH CONSOLIDATED COMMUNICATIONS, INC. <br />WHEREAS: The Washington State Broadband Office did award Kittitas County a <br />Broadband Grant ($3.8 million) Spring of 2023; and <br />WHEREAS: Public Works did solicit for qualified service providers through a request for <br />qualifications process and a selection committee selected Consolidated <br />Communications, Inc. to negotiate a professional service contract delivering <br />broadband to the communities of Thorp and Edgemont; and <br />WHEREAS: The Public Works/Community Development Services Director has <br />successfully completed contract negotiations with Consolidated <br />Communications, Inc. <br />NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED: The Board of County Commissioners, after due <br />consideration, does hereby authorize the Public Works/Community Development Services <br />Director to sign a professional service agreement with Consolidated Communications, Inc. <br />providing broadband service to the communities of Thorp and Edgemont in the amount of <br />$3,800,000. <br />DATED this 5`h day of December 2023, at Ellensburg, Washington, <br />Attest: <br />❑ Clerk of the Board- Julie Kjorsvik <br />BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />KITTITAS COUNTY, WASHINGTON <br />Cory Wright, Chairman <br />Brett Wachsmith, Vice -Chairman <br />❑ Deputy Clerk of the Board- Mandy Buchholz <br />Laura Osiadacz, Commissioner <br />
