BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />COUNTY OF KITTITAS <br />STATE OF WASHINGTON <br />RESOLUTTON NO. 2023- <br />A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF AN INTERLOCAL AGREEMENT <br />BETWEEN THE TOWN OF SOUTH CLE ELUM, WASHINGTON AND KITTITAS COUNry, <br />WASHINGTON FOR LAW ENFORCEMENT SERVICES <br />WHEREAS, the Parties are public agencies, as defined in RCW 39.34.020, who wish to <br />enter into an Agreement pursuant to Chapter 39.34 RCW, the Washington <br />lnterlocal Cooperation Act; and <br />WHEREAS, Kittitas County through the Kittitas County Sheriffs Office and The Town of <br />South Cle Elum have the power, authority, and responsibility to provide police <br />protection and law enforcement services for the citizens within their boundaries; <br />and <br />WHEREAS, The Town of South Cle Elum is located entirely within the boundaries of <br />Kittitas County, and the Kittitas County Sheriffs Office is able to provide regular <br />law enforcement services to The Town of South Cle Elum; and <br />WHEREAS, Kittitas County and The Town of South Cle Elum wish to enter into a joint <br />Agreement to efficiently provide The Town of South Cle Elum with law <br />enforcement services; and <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE lT HEREBY RESOLVED, that the Board of County <br />Commissioners of Kittitas County, Washington authorizes the execution of the lnterlocal <br />Agreement between The Town of South Cle Elum and Kittitas County for law enforcement <br />services which shall be filed pursuant to RCW 39.34.040. <br />ADoPTED this Ll tr <br />d ay of <br />tq4 <br />Y,(ovunbt< <br />APP!?'EQ As t%T$j z+ <br />Mity'hell, Deputy Prosecuting Attorney <br />2023 <br />BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />COUNTY WASHINGTON <br />Ch <br />hair <br />ommtsstoner <br />rtr.rk of the Board- Julie Kjo <br />Douglas R. <br />rsvik <br />n Deputy Clerk of the Board- Mandy Buchholz <br />a <br />2 <br />r.lD <br />RESOLUTION
