Candie Leader
From:
Mark Cook
Sent:
Tuesday, October 17, 2023 3:50 PM
To:
'Tim Ike'
Subject:
FW: ELN 2024 Discretionary Funds Deferred
From: Branchcomb, Chelsea L (FAA) <Chelsea.L.Bra nchcomb@faa.gov>
Sent: Monday, October 16, 2023 3:35 PM
To: Mark Cook <mark.cook@co.kittitas.wa.us>
Cc: Zulauf, Ryan C (FAA) <ryan.c.zulauf@faa.gov>; Candle Leader <candie.leader@co.kittitas.wa.us>
Subject: ELN 2024 Discretionary Funds Deferred
CAUTION: This email originated from outside the Kittitas County network. Do not click links, open attachments,
fulfill requests, or follow guidance unless you recognize the sender and have verified the content is safe.
Hi Mark,
Unfortunately, the 2024 discretionary funds that were planned for the Bowers Field new parallel taxiway grant will not be
available for construction in 2024. The overall discretionary funds for 2024 were less than planned and many funding
requests fell below the funding line. FAA recognizes the eligibility and need for the taxiway and other storm drainage
improvements so we hope to find funds for the project in 2025 or 2026.
Chelsea Branchcomb, PE
Project Manager
Federal Aviation Administration
Seattle Airports District Office
(206) 231-4231
