BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS COUNTY OF KITTITAS STATE OF WASHINGTON RESOLUTION NO.2023- RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE EXECUTION OF AN AMENDMENT TO AN INTERLOCAL AGREEMENT TITLED "KITTCOM'S GOVERNING AGREEMENT" WHEREAS, RCW 39.34, the Interlocal Cooperation Act, provides the capability for public agencies to cooperate for mutual advantage; and WHEREAS, Kittitas County is a party to an Interlocal Agreement titled "KITTCOM's Governing Agreement" establishing KITTCOM, a separate public agency and consolidated public safety communications center created for the purpose of providing communication and dispatch services for public safety and emergencies in the participating incorporated and unincorporated areas of Kittitas County; and WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 17 of that Agreement, the Agreement may be amended at any time by the majority action of the Administrative Board and ratified by a majority of the legislative bodies of all parties to the agreement; and WHEREAS, administrative changes have occurred that make it necessary to update KITTCOM's Governing Agreement, as set forth more fully in the attached Amendment Number Three, which is hereby incorporated by reference; and WHEREAS, the KITTCOM Administrative Board approved the third amendment to KITTCOM's Governing Agreement at a meeting of their board on the 121h of October, which is attached hereto and incorporated by reference; and WHEREAS, Kittitas County is a party to that agreement and desires to ratify the amendment by signature of the Chair; NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of County Commissioners of Kittitas County, Washington, authorizes execution of Amendment Number Three to KITTCOM'S Governing Agreement, an interlocal agreement, which amendment is attached hereto and hereby adopted.
