BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />COUNTY OF KITTITAS <br />STATE OF WASHINGTON <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2023 - <br />RATIFYING THE CHAIR'S SIGNATURE ON FEDERAL EMERGENCY <br />MANAGEMENT AGENCY ANNUAL COMMUNITY RATING SYSTEM REPORT <br />DOCUMENTS <br />WHEREAS: Kittitas County is enrolled in the Federal Emergency Management Agency <br />(FEMA) Community Rating System (CRS); and <br />WHEREAS: This Federal Program lowers flood insurance premiums for all county residents <br />receiving federal flood insurance; and <br />WHEREAS: The County is required to report annual activities to FEMA consistent with <br />maintaining its CRS rating; and <br />WHEREAS: FEMA required the Chair's signature by October 16, 2023, ahead of full Board of <br />County Commissioner action; <br />NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of County Commissioners, in the <br />best interest of the public, does hereby ratify the Chair's signature on the 2023 FEMA CRS <br />reporting documents. <br />DATED this 17th day of October 2023, at Ellensburg, Washington. <br />Attest: <br />❑ Clerk of the Board- Julie Kjorsvik <br />❑ Deputy Clerk of the Board- Mandy Buchholz <br />BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />KITTITAS COUNTY, WASHINGTON <br />Cory Wright, Chairman <br />Brett Wachsmith, Vice -Chairman <br />Laura Osiadacz, Commissioner <br />
