License. Axon owns all executable instructions, images, icons, sound, and text in Axon Evidence Local. All rights are reserved to Axon. Axon grants a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide right and license to use Axon Evidence Local. "Use" means storing, loading, installing, or executing Axon Evidence Local exclusively for data communication with an Axon Device. Agency may use Axon Evidence Local in a networked environment on computers other than the computer it installs Axon Evidence Local on, so long as each execution of Axon Evidence Local is for data communication with an Axon Device. Agency may make copies of Axon Evidence Local for archival purposes only. Axon shall retain all copyright, trademark, and proprietary notices in Axon Evidence Local on all copies or adaptations. 2. Term. The Quote will detail the duration of the Axon Evidence Local license, as well as any maintenance. The term will begin upon installation of Axon Evidence Local. 3. License Restrictions. All licenses will immediately terminate if Agency does not comply with any term of this Agreement. Agency may not use Axon Evidence Local for any purpose other than as expressly permitted by this Agreement. Agency may not: 3.1. modify, tamper with, repair, or otherwise create derivative works of Axon Evidence Local; 3.2. reverse engineer, disassemble, or decompile Axon Evidence Local or apply any process to derive the source code of Axon Evidence Local, or allow others to do the same; 3.3. access or use Axon Evidence Local to avoid incurring fees or exceeding usage limits or quotas; 3.4. copy Axon Evidence Local in whole or part, except as expressly permitted in this Agreement; 3.5. use trade secret information contained in Axon Evidence Local; 3.6. resell, rent, loan or sublicense Axon Evidence Local; 3.7. access Axon Evidence Local to build a competitive device or service or copy any features, functions, or graphics of Axon Evidence Local; or 3.8. remove, alter, or obscure any confidentiality or proprietary rights notices (including copyright and trademark notices) of Axon or Axon’s licensors on or within Axon Evidence Local or any copies of Axon Evidence Local. 4. Support. Axon may make available updates and error corrections ("Updates") to Axon Evidence Local. Axon will provide Updates electronically via the Internet or media as determined by Axon. Agency is responsible for establishing and maintaining adequate access to the Internet to receive Updates. Agency is responsible for maintaining the computer equipment necessary to use Axon Evidence Local. Axon may provide technical support of a prior release/version of Axon Evidence Local for six (6) months from when Axon made the subsequent release/version available. 5. Termination. Axon may terminate Agency’s license immediately for Agency’s failure to comply with any of the terms in this Agreement. Upon termination, Axon may disable Agency’s right to login to Axon Evidence Local.
