9127123, 11 :34 AM newspaper-text (1 S).htmt <br />SELECTION PROCESS AND PROPOSED SCHEDULE: <br />Kittitas County selection will be based on: <br />L Firm/Team Qualilications (307o): Preference shall be given to qualifications in providing engineered flood proofing <br />approaches, particularly for fire stations or other critical facilities located within a Special Flood Hazard Area. <br />2. Project Experience (3Uo/oi)z Preference shall be given to experience in relation to projects similar to those in the <br />above Scope of Work. <br />3. References (15%): Preference shall be given to experience references for projects located within a Special Flood <br />Hazard Area, buildings retrofitted to meet National Flood Insurance Program building standards, and fire station <br />projects. <br />4, Project Understanding (25oh)z Preference shall be given to a comprehensive understanding of the Scope of Work <br />requirements. <br />AKittitas County and Fire District review committee will review and rank the SOQs. The committee may choose to <br />interview a shortlist of consultants befbre making the selection. <br />The County reserves the right to reject any and all submissions to this SOQ, request clarification, and waive <br />informalities/technicalities, if deemed in the best interest of the County. The County assumes no responsibility for costs <br />incurred in responding to this SOQ. <br />Kittitas County in accordance with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964,78 Stat.252, 42IJ.5.C.2000d to 2000d-4 and <br />Title 49, Code of Federal Regulations, Department of Transportation, subtitle A, Office of the Secretary Part2I, <br />nondiscrirnination in federally assisted programs of the Deparhnent of Transportation issued pursuant to such Act, hereby <br />notifies all bidders that it will affirmatively insure that in any contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement, <br />disadvantaged business enterprises as defined at 49 CFR Part26 will be afforded full opportunity to submit bids in response <br />to this invitation and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color, national origin or sex in consideration <br />for an award. <br />Anticipated Dates and Tasks <br />5 PM local time October 27,2023 - Deadline for SOQ submittals <br />November 3,2023 - Selection of Firms to Interview <br />November 17,2023 - Interviews and Ref-erence Checks <br />November 27,2023 - Provider Selection <br />December 5,2023 - BOCC ContractAward <br />The above schedule is tentative and may be changed based on the number of proposals submitted. <br />CONTRACT: <br />The selected consultant will be expected to enter into a Standard Local Agency Professional Services Negotiated Hourly <br />Rate Consultant Agreement. Insurance requirements are included in that agreement.
