<br />09/19/2023 MINUTES 3 <br /> <br />GRANT HOMELAND SECURITY GRANT SHERIFF <br /> <br />Acknowledge FFY20 HSGP (SHSP) Homeland Security Grant Program Agreement <br />#E24-059 between the Kittitas County Sheriff’s Office and the Washington <br />State Military Department from 9/1/2020-7/31/2024. The Grant is to support <br />state, local, tribal, and territorial efforts to prevent terrorism and <br />other catastrophic events and to prepare the Nation for threats and hazards <br />that pose the greatest risk to security of the United States. <br />CONTRACT SMITHS DETECTION CONTRACT SHERIFF <br /> <br />Approve Resolution No. 2023-162 Authorizing the Kittitas County <br />Sheriff’s Office to Purchase a 1-Year Service Contract from Smiths <br />Detection in the amount of $13,323.00 plus sales tax for the operation <br />of detection body scanner via Command Sourcing. <br />CONTRACT VEHICLE-BASED VIDEO EVIDENCE SYSTEMS SHERIFF <br /> <br />Acknowledge a 37.5161-month Contract for (4) vehicle-based video <br />evidence systems which will work in concert with the Sheriff’s Office <br />body cameras from the same company between Kittitas County and AXON <br />Enterprise, Inc. <br />CONTRACT GUARDIAN RFID SYSTEM AGREEMENT SHERIFF <br /> <br />Approve Addendum B to the Guardian RFID System Agreement to increase the <br />previously stated Extended Term costs to account for 4 additional Mobile <br />Command Licenses being purchased. <br /> <br />CORRESPONDENCE- None <br /> <br />ADMINISTRATIVE MATTERS- None <br /> <br />CITIZEN COMMENTS <br /> <br />Kate Sander, HopeSource, gave an update on the Community Block Grant <br />Funds. Over the past several months HopeSource has built community <br />partnerships by offering workshops for money management, paying off <br />debt, and offering one on one coaching. Ms. Sander stated these <br />educational efforts are making a difference by helping clients avoid <br />becoming part of the system and avoid experiencing homelessness. <br /> <br />MISCELLANEOUS – NONE <br /> <br />EXECUTIVE SESSION <br /> <br />At 10:12 a.m. Chairman Wright announced the Board would recess into <br />Executive Session for 5 minutes with Mark Cook, Public Works/CDS
