Staff can then bundle <br />significant cases onto a single agenda day and is expected the BoE can readily make <br />rulings based on HE recommendations. While reliance upon the HE conducting the <br />hearings and offering recommendations is a good step managing the 2023 docket <br />timeline, staff remains concerned about getting all decisions completed by October 31, <br />2023. Completing the 2023 appeal docket by October 31, 2023, affords sufficient time <br />for the Assessor to complete required budget actions due in December 2023. Certainty in <br />meeting the October 31, 2023, is enhanced provided the BoCC acts as the BoE. Regular <br />public meetings (noticed properly) are expected to expedite the BoE decision making by <br />bringing certainty to the scheduling process. <br />FISCAL IMPACTS: <br />Undetermined at this time.
