KITTITAS COUNTY <br />COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT SERVICES STUDY SESSION MINUTES <br />COMMISSIONERS' AUDITORIUM, 205 WEST 5TH ROOM 109 <br />Regular Meeting <br />MONDAY 1:30 PM July 10, 2023 <br />Board members present: Chairman Cory Wright, Vice Chairman Brett <br />Wachsmith and Commissioner Laura Osiadacz. <br />Others: Mark Cook, Josh Fredrickson, Rebecca Cruse, Public Works; <br />Jessica Miller, Jamey Ayling, Community Development Services; Mike <br />Hougardy, Assessor's Office; Neil Caulkins, Prosecuting Attorney's <br />Office; 1 member of the public. <br />At 1:49 PM Chairman Cory Wright opened the Public Works Study <br />Session. <br />No Citizen Comments. <br />REQUEST TO APPROVE A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF AN <br />INTERLOCAL AGREEMENT BETWEEN KITTITAS COUNTY AND KITTITAS COUNTY <br />CONSERVATION DISTRICT FOR CONTINUING IMPLEMENTATION OF THE VOLUNTARY <br />STEWARDSHIP PROGRAM <br />Jamey Ayling requested the Board of County Commissioners execute an <br />interlocal agreement with the Kittitas County Conservation District <br />supporting the Voluntary Stewardship Program (VSP)and presented <br />Resolution 2023-116 for consideration to renew the two-year contract. <br />Vice Chairman Brett Wachsmith moved to approve Resolution 2023-116. <br />Commissioner Laura Osiadacz seconded. Motion passed. <br />BOARD OF EQUALIZATION HEARINGS EXAMINER <br />Mark Cook requested the Board of County Commissioners consideration <br />to solicit for a Board of Equalization (BOE) Hearings Examiner. Mike <br />Hougardy, County Assessor stated the benefit of a clear deadline for <br />the BOE appeals completion is crucial to the Assessor's office. <br />Questions pursued. The Board supports soliciting for a Hearings <br />Examiner to offer recommendations and expedite the processing <br />timeline for the BOE and requested that the BOE have a clear deadline <br />for completion of the hearings.
