The long-term management of the property will fall under the City Parks & Recreation Department. Four years ago, the City adopted a new special event process to better streamline and support event planners, this process is administered by the Parks & Recreation Director. The day to day maintenance of the property will be the responsibility of the City Parks Maintenance Division. Additionally, the park restroom has a concierge's office that will be staffed daily during summer months by a part time employee or volunteer. Their role will to ensure that the park and restrooms are clean, address park issues as they arise, and to provide information about the downtown. 8. Project Readiness: Please provide a detailed project schedule, including milestones necessary for completion as mentioned in question 1 above. On the schedule, indicate items completed and exactly where in the schedule the project is at this time. Be sure to include expected completion date. Park construction is anticipated to begin in July 2023, the construction timeline has the park being completed by December 2023. Park design has already been approved by the City Landmarks & Design Commission, plans are currently in the review process, which is overseen by the City of Ellensburg Community Development Department. The bulk of the funding for this project is coming from funding the City received through the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) and City park impact fees. The budget for park construction is S2.4mm. 9.
