PROPOSAL DETAILS  <br />1.Applicant Profile and Qualifications: Tell us about your organization including the <br />purpose of your work, your goals, any history, and experience working in homeless <br />and/or affordable housing services, experience managing public funds, and anything <br />else that describes the organization’s qualifications.  (250 words max.) <br />4 <br />HopeSource has a 50-year history of operating housing, financial management, <br />nutrition, energy assistance, home weatherization, transportation, and rental assistance <br />programs, operates the only homeless shelter in the County, and owns and manages <br />over 900 units of homeless and affordable housing. HopeSource has effectively <br />managed and accounted for more than 120 funding contracts from federal, state, and <br />local municipalities with 14 years of unqualified clean audits, including the Youth <br />Homelessness Demonstration Program, Consolidated Homeless Grant, Housing and <br />Essential Needs, Supportive Services for Veteran Families, McKinney-Vento homeless <br />shelters, HUD, Rural Development, Housing Trust Fund, Housing Finance Commission, <br />and local, private funding. <br />HopeSource has served homeless and at-risk veterans, individuals with disabilities, <br />seniors, homeless youth and young adults, and low-income families with offices and <br />staff in Kittitas County since 1967. Offices and staff in Grant and Chelan Counties have <br />been offering housing services since 2015. HopeSource has been operating rapid <br />rehousing programs for over 50 years and has an average exit to permanent housing <br />rate of 98%. HopeSource also operates enhanced shelters in Kittitas and Grant <br />Counties and has been active in managing the cold weather shelter in Kittitas County. <br />HopeSource has been certified by CARF since 2015 for operating rapid rehousing <br />programs according to best practices. <br />Doc ID: ae10d54fbe380e1ba2aaeeb1402b73f011691b81
