6.Sustainability: Describe your ability, experience, and resources to implement and <br />sustain the project during the term of the project. (250 words  max.) <br />10 <br />HopeSource's YHDP contract renews annually and will remain available if match funds <br />are secured. <br />HopeSource's executive management team and Board of Directors are constantly <br />developing plans to build reliable funding sources to support housing programs, <br />augmented by braided contract funding available through federal, state, and local <br />grants, strengthening fundraising capacity through sustainable relationships with local <br />corporations and small businesses, and special events. Through a robust fundraising <br />plan combined with a community culture of philanthropy, HopeSource will sustain, <br />expand, and scale its programs to serve the community effectively and for the long term. <br />HopeSource pays attention to every opportunity to decrease costs so that funding goes <br />directly to serving vulnerable households. HopeSource financial controls include <br />adherence to Fiscal Policies supported by OMB Circular requirements and accounting <br />practices. HopeSource is audited annually by an external accounting agency and has <br />received 14 consecutive clean audits. HopeSource has effectively managed and <br />accounted for more than 120 contracts for funding from federal, state, county, and <br />municipal entities, private foundations, and donations for over 50 years. HopeSource <br />has successfully operated grants from the Veteran's Administration, the Washington <br />State Department of Commerce, the Washington State Department of Transportation, <br />and County homeless and affordable housing, including emergency services, <br />emergency shelters, new affordable housing projects, and tax credit rehabilitation <br />housing projects. <br />Doc ID: ae10d54fbe380e1ba2aaeeb1402b73f011691b81
