BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />COUNTY OF KITTITAS <br />STATE OF WASHINGTON <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2023 - <br />AUTHORIZING THE SELECTION OF CONSOLIDATED COMMUNICATIONS, INC. <br />FOR DESIGN AND BUILD OF BROADBAND NETWORKS IN THE THORP AND <br />EDGEMONT UNINCORPORATED AREAS OF KITTITAS COUNTY AND <br />AUTHORIZE THE PUBLIC WORKS DIRECTOR TO NEGOTIATE AND EXECUTE A <br />PROFESSIONAL SERVICES AGREEMENT FOR SAID PROJECT <br />WHEREAS: Kittitas County Public Works advertised a Request for Statement of <br />Qualifications for the Design and Build of Broadband Networks in the Thorp and <br />Edgemont Unincorporated Areas of Kittitas County in April and May of 2023; <br />and <br />WHEREAS: Submittals were due on June 2, 2023; and <br />WHEREAS: Two (2) qualified firms submitted their qualifications for review; and <br />WHEREAS: A team of Kittitas County staff reviewed the submittals and recommends <br />Consolidated Communications, Inc. to be the selected firm for said services. <br />NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of County Commissioners, in the best <br />interest of the public, does hereby select Consolidated Communications, Inc. for <br />Design and Build of Broadband Networks in the Thorp and Edgemont <br />Unincorporated Areas of Kittitas County and authorize the Public Works <br />Director to Negotiate and Execute a Professional Services Agreement for said <br />project. <br />DATED on this 15th day of August 2023, at Ellensburg, Washington. <br />Attest: <br />❑ Clerk of the Board- Julie Kjorsvik <br />❑ Deputy Clerk of the Board- Mandy Buchholz <br />BOARD OF COUNTY <br />COMMISSIONERS <br />KITTITAS COUNTY, WASHINGTON <br />Cory Wright, Chairman <br />Brett Wachsmith, Vice -Chairman <br />Laura Osiadacz, Commissioner <br />
