<br />08/01/2023 MINUTES 6 <br /> <br /> <br />SET PUBLIC HEARING LEASE OF WATER RIGHTS PUBLIC WORKS <br /> <br />Approve Setting a Public Hearing to consider the Leasing of Kittitas <br />County Water Rights through Public Auction, to be held on August 15, <br />2023, at 2:00 p.m. in the Commissioners Auditorium, Room 109, Kittitas <br />County Courthouse 205 West 5th Avenue Ellensburg, WA and to authorize the <br />Clerk to public said notice. <br /> <br />REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS HEARING EXAMINER PUBLIC WORKS <br /> <br />Approve a Request for Proposals from Individuals and Firms interested in <br />serving as the Kittitas County Hearing Examiner Serving the Board of <br />Equalization, beginning October 2023, to be accepted until August 31, <br />2023, at 5:00 p.m. in the Kittitas County Public Works/Community <br />Development Services Department 411 North Ruby Street, Suite 1, <br />Ellensburg, WA and to authorize the Clerk to publish said notice. <br /> <br />ADMINISTRATIVE MATTERS – NONE <br /> <br />CITIZEN COMMENTS ON NON-AGENDA ITEMS - NONE <br /> <br />BOARD DISCUSSION/DECISION ITEMS - NONE <br /> <br />MISCELLANEOUS - NONE <br /> <br />EXECUTIVE SESSION <br /> <br />At 10:22 a.m. Vice-Chairman Wachsmith announced the Board would recess <br />into Executive Session for 5 minutes with Chris Horner, Deputy <br />Prosecutor, to discuss with legal counsel representing the agency <br />matters relating to agency enforcement actions, or to discuss with legal <br />counsel representing the agency litigation or potential litigation to <br />which the agency, the governing body, or a member acting in an official <br />capacity is, or is likely to become, a party, when public knowledge <br />regarding the discussion is likely in an adverse legal or financial <br />consequence to the agency. Action was anticipated. <br /> <br />At 10:27 a.m. the Board reconvened out of Executive Session.
