SPACE ADJACENCIES (CONY.) <br />AUDITOR <br />Similar to Treasurer, there is offsite storage <br />that needs to be provided and is included in the <br />overall building area. <br />Some sharing of space can occur depending on <br />the proximity of the departments. <br />Library will have fire rated construction to <br />protect the contents and should be protected. <br />BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />Executive offices will be at the standard of a <br />judge's chamber <br />Commissioners Auditorium is the equivalent of <br />the Ceremonial Courtroom with seating for 100 <br />people. Wood millwork at all locations will be <br />provided. <br />CORONER <br />Evidence storage is provided in this area which <br />will require dedicated exhaust, redundancy for <br />heating cooling, humidity control, etc. to ensure <br />that all evidence is not compromised. <br />There are fire rated storage areas for sensitive <br />documents. <br />FACILITIES MAINTENANCE <br />• This space is both shops and parts storage and <br />office area for the facilities team. <br />PUBLIC HEALTH <br />There are four sections within the Public Health <br />with mixed access for public and staff only. <br />Therefore access control will be necessary to <br />separate areas that are staff only. <br />Most locations are shared offices in lieu of <br />open workstation cubicles. <br />PH does include patient spaces for some <br />exams or patient supports. <br />12 ©DLRGROUP <br />PUBLIC WORKS <br />• Public Works has areas for large sheet <br />plan review and storage to take place in the <br />department. <br />• Locations for equipment that is muddied or <br />dirty from field work is provided. <br />• Large coordination rooms and collaboration <br />areas are provided for the training and <br />meetings that occur with PW. <br />• The open offices may be combined into one <br />larger location with proximity to their managers <br />and support services / teams. <br />PUBLIC RECORDS <br />• PR is predominately shared office areas for <br />staff with lockers and amenities for work room <br />spaces. <br />TREASURER <br />The open office area of the Treasurer will <br />typically be low partition walls except where <br />noted to be a higher, more private space such <br />as the Administrative Assistant. <br />There is a fire proof, secured vault with access <br />control measures. <br />There is a need for large storage of archive files <br />that can be offsite but should be included in <br />the budget. For this scope, it is included in the <br />overall program numbers and can be part of <br />this building. <br />GENERAL BUILDING SUPPORT <br />These spaces are supporting to the main <br />building to ensure there are areas for utilities, <br />restrooms, lobbies, screening spaces, etc. <br />There is area indicated for exterior outdoor <br />seating areas for staff that should be accessed <br />from staff areas and private from view. <br />INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY <br />• This area has the servers and lab support <br />spaces for I.T. <br />• Does not require a raised floor in the server <br />room. <br />• Conferencing areas can be shared with other <br />departments if in proximity. <br />
