BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />COUNTY OF KITTITAS <br />STATE OF WASHINGTON <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2023 - ff ) <br />AWARDING THE CONTRACT FOR THE MANASTASH ROAD CREEK BANK <br />STABILIZATION PROJECT, AND AUTHORIZE THE COUNTY ENGINEER TO <br />EXECUTE THE SAME <br />WHEREAS: The call for sealed bids supporting the Manastash Road Creek Bank Stabilization <br />Project (CRP 273-16) was authorized by the Kittitas County Board of <br />Commissioners on June 6, 2023; and <br />WHEREAS: The Department of Public Works solicited bids in accordance with RCW <br />36.77.020 Contract Procedures; and <br />WHEREAS: Sealed bids were received and opened on June 29, 2023, at 10:00 am; and <br />WHEREAS: There were six (6) responsive bids received for review; and <br />WHEREAS: The lowest responsive bid was from Thayer Excavating, LLC in the amount of <br />$527,941.95; and <br />WHEREAS: The County Engineer recommends the lowest responsive bid be accepted; and <br />NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of County Commissioners finds it in <br />the best interest of the County to award the Contract for the Manastash Road <br />Creek Bank Stabilization Project to Thayer Excavating, LLC; and <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the County Engineer is authorized to sign contract <br />documents for said project. <br />DATED on this 1 Oth day of July 2023, at Ellensburg, Washington. <br />BOARD OF COUNTY <br />COMMISSIONERS <br />KITTITAS QOUNTY, WASHINGTON <br />Board- Julie Kjorsvik <br />Vice -Chairman <br />❑ Deputy Clerk of the Board- Mandy Buchholz <br />
