KITTITAS COUNTY <br />PUBLIC WORKS STUDY SESSION MINUTES <br />COMMISSIONERS' AUDITORIUM, 205 WEST 5TH ROOM 109 <br />Regular Meeting <br />MONDAY 1:30 PM July 10, 2023 <br />Board members present: Chairman Cory Wright, Vice Chairman Brett <br />Wachsmith, and Commissioner Laura Osiadacz. <br />Others: Mark Cook, Josh Fredrickson, Rebecca Cruse, Public Works; <br />Jessica Miller, Jamey Ayling, Community Development Services; Mike <br />Hougardy, Assessor's Office; Neil Caulkins, Prosecuting Attorney's <br />Office; 1 member of the public. <br />At 1:30 PM Chairman Cory Wright opened the Public Works Study <br />Session. <br />No Citizen Comments. <br />REQUEST TO APPROVE A RESOLUTION TO AWARD THE CONTRACT FOR MANASTASH <br />ROAD CREEK BANK STABILIZATION PROJECT (CRP 273-16) AND AUTHORIZE THE <br />COUNTY ENGINEER TO EXECUTE THE SAME <br />Josh Fredrickson briefed the Board of County Commissioners on the <br />bids received for Manastash Road creek bank stabilization and <br />presented Resolution 2023-115 for consideration. Vice Chairman Brett <br />Wachsmith moved to approve Resolution 2023-115. Seconded by <br />Commissioner Laura Osiadacz. Motion passed. <br />BEAR ROAD RIGHT OF WAY <br />Josh Fredrickson briefed the Board of County Commissioners on Bear <br />Road right of way and an ongoing conversation with landowners about <br />alternative access to the properties with frontage should they desire <br />to pursue vacating the unconstructed portion of right of way. <br />WILSON CREEK ROAD SPEED STUDY <br />Josh Fredrickson requested the Board of County Commissioners to <br />direct staff to schedule a public hearing to increase speed from mile <br />post 0.50 to mile post 1.01 on Wilson Creek Road. The Board of County <br />Commissioners directed staff to notify residents in that stretch of <br />the road by mail prior to scheduling public hearing. <br />Meeting concluded at 1:48 PM <br />2023-7-10 MINUTES <br />
