Chapter 12.15 <br />WATER ON THE ROAD <br />Sections <br />12.15.010 Conduct of Water Upon or Across County Roads. <br />12.15.020 Violation — Penalties. <br />12.15.030 Damages. <br />12.15.040 Provisions Supplemental. <br />12.15.050 Severability. <br />12.15.010 Conduct of Water Upon or Across County Roads. <br />No person, firm or corporation shall operate any irrigation system which, in still air, directs water <br />upon or across any county road so as to endanger or impede the road or travel thereon. <br />12.15.020 Violation — Penalties. <br />Any person, firm, or corporation violating or failing to comply with any of the provisions of this <br />chapter is subject to penalties and enforcement under Title 18 KCC_ <br />12.15.030 Damages. <br />In addition to any penalties under 12.15,02, any person, firm or corporation violating the provisions <br />of this chapter shall be responsible in damages to Kittitas County for any reasonable amount <br />necessary to repair, replace, resurface or to otherwise restore such county road as may be affected, <br />to the condition in which said road was prior to violating acts. <br />12.15.040 Provisions Supplemental. <br />The provisions of this chapter shall be cumulative and nonexclusive and shall not affect any other <br />remedy of law. <br />12.15A50 Severability. <br />If any provision of this Chapter or its application to any person or circumstances is held invalid, the <br />remainder of the Chapter or the application of the Chapter to other persons or circumstances shall <br />not be affected. <br />Chapter 12.20 <br />ROAD -SANDING POLICY* <br />Sections <br />12.20.010 Emergency and non -emergency. <br />* Formerly 12.05; renumbered by Ord. 2004.13, 2004 <br />12.20.010 Emergency and non -emergency. <br />The board of county commissioners, in the best interest of the public, sets the following policy: <br />Sanding will be done at intersections, hills and railroad crossings. Sanding on other areas will be <br />done only in emergencies deemed necessary by a county commissioner of his respective district and <br />the county engineer. (Ord. 94-27 (part), 1994; Res.
