Chapter 12.25 <br />PIT RECLAMATION* <br />Sections <br />12,25.010 Policy adoption. <br />12.25.020 Reclamation plan. <br />12.25.030 Minimum standards. <br />12,25.040 Borrow, quarry or pit, stockpile and waste sites. <br />12.25.050 Borrow sites. <br />12.25.060 Borrow and quarry or pit sites which result in the formation of a body of water. <br />12.25.070 Quarry sites. <br />12.25.080 Waste sites. <br />* Formerly 12.24; renumbered by Ord. 2004.13, 2004 <br />12.25.010 Policy adoption. <br />The board of county commissioners adopts the policy set forth in Sections 12.24.020 through <br />12.24.080 for the operation and reclamation of all county operated borrow, quarry or pit, stockpile <br />and waste sites within the county. (Res. RD-16-71 (part), 1971). <br />12.25.020 Reclamation plan. <br />All county owned and leased borrow, quarry or pit, stockpile and waste sites, to be henceforth <br />acquired or presently operated, for the construction and maintenance of county roads and highways <br />by the county road department shall require a reclamation plan which shall be effected by said <br />county forces or the county's contractors, within two years after depletion or abandonment of the <br />site. The reclamation plan shall include, but not limit to the following details: <br />1. Site boundaries and pertinent topographic features; <br />2. Proposed finished ground contours or cross -sections and all final slopes; <br />3. Site drainage; Restoration of stream beds; <br />4. Methods by which contaminates are controlled; <br />5. Planned lakes, ponds or other bodies of water which would be beneficial for residential, <br />recreational, game or wildlife purposes; <br />6. Local zoning and/or planning, if any; <br />7. Type of vegetative cover, if required; <br />8. Proposed stockpiles or maintenance buildings; <br />9. Any other feature which contributes to the final appearance of the land subsequent to <br />restoration measures. (Res. RD-16-71 (part), 1971). <br />10. <br />12.25.030 Minimum standards. <br />The county will adhere to the following minimum standards set forth in Sections 12.24.040 through <br />12.24.080. (Res. RD-16-71 (part), 1971). <br />
