<br />06/06/2023 MINUTES 5 <br /> <br /> <br />MISCELLANEOUS - NONE <br /> <br />EXECUTIVE SESSION <br /> <br />At 10:45 a.m. Chairman Wright announced the Board would recess into an <br />Executive Session for 5 minutes with Mark Cook, Public Works <br />Director/Interim CDS Director and Neil Caulkins, Chief Civil Deputy <br />Prosecutor, regarding RCW 42.30.110(b) to consider the selection of a <br />site or the acquisition of real estate by lase or purchase when public <br />knowledge regarding such consideration would cause a likelihood of <br />increased price. Possible action to follow. <br /> <br />At 10:50 a.m. the Board recessed out of Executive Session. Direction <br />was given to Staff to halt plat vacation in the parcel of land and bring <br />back into County ownership. <br /> <br />At 10:51 a.m. Chairman Wright announced the Board would recess into an <br />Executive Session with Mark Cook, Public Works Director/Interim CDS <br />Director, for 15 minutes, regarding RCW 42.30.110(g) to evaluate the <br />qualifications of an applicant for public employment or to review the <br />performance of a public employee. However, subject to RCW 42.30.140(4), <br />discussion by a governing body of salaries, wages, and other conditions <br />of employment to be generally applied with the agency shall occur in a <br />meeting open to the public, and when a governing body elects to take <br />final action hiring, setting the salary of an individual employee or <br />class of employees, or discharging or disciplining an employee, that <br />action shall be taken in a meeting open to the public. Possible action <br />to follow. <br /> <br />At 11:06 a.m. the Board reconvened out of Executive Session. No action <br />was taken. <br /> <br />At 11:06 a.m. Chairman Wright announced the Board would recess back into <br />an Executive Session for 10 minutes with Mark Cook, Public Works <br />Director/Interim CDS Director, regarding RCW 42.30.110(g) to evaluate <br />the qualifications of an applicant for public employment or to review <br />the performance of a public employee.
