05/30/2023 MINUTES 2 <br />Commissioner Wachsmith reviewed a conversation previously held <br />during the HR Study Session on May 23, 2023 that he and Commissioner <br />Osiadacz were wanting to discuss with Chairman Wright to do a trial <br />in the BoCC Office of having the office be remote on Fridays. He <br />explained that we are down Staff on Fridays and with the new <br />employee coming from Grant County, each day Fridays looked to have <br />the least amount of impact as there are not typically BoCC Meetings, <br />the Board is mostly out that day, and we have the least amount of <br />foot traffic that day. <br /> <br />Commissioner Osiadacz and Chairman Wright stated they were not in <br />favor of the office being closed but Staff could come up with a plan <br />so each employee had a work from home day. <br /> <br />DISCUSSION BLAKE CONTRACT CONTACT COMMISSIONERS <br /> <br />Commissioner Wachsmith nominated himself to be the County’s contact <br />for the Blake Contract as well as allowing him signatory authority. <br />Commissioner Osiadacz seconded. Motion carried 3-0. <br /> <br />LETTER ROSLYN ARPA FUNDS IRRIGATION AT CEMETERY COMMISSIONERS <br /> <br />Commissioner Wachsmith moved to ratify Chair signature and approve <br />District Two and District Three on a letter of support to the City <br />of Roslyn Re: ARPA Funds for irrigation at the Roslyn Cemetery. <br />Commissioner Osiadacz seconded. Motion carried 3-0. <br /> <br />APPOINTMENT HOPE ISITT - DDAC COMMISSIONERS <br /> <br />Commissioner Wachsmith moved to appoint Hope Isitt to the Kittitas <br />County Developmental Disabilities Advisory Committee for a 3-year <br />term effective immediately and to end on 12/31/2025. Commissioner <br />Osiadacz seconded. Motion carried 3-0. <br /> <br />DISCUSSION COUNTY FACEBOOK COMMISSIONERS <br /> <br />The Board determined that for the week of May 29, 2023, they would <br />publish on their Facebook the following: Congratulating Josh Boast <br />(EHS) on winning State WIAA 300 Meter Hurdles for the Boys; <br />Broadband Award; Reminder to clean up your garbage when you haul it <br />in for camping, haul it out. <br /> <br />UPDATE BOCC/ DEPARTMENT HEAD REPORTS COMMISSIONERS <br /> <br />Each Commissioner was assigned three different Department Heads to <br />meet with on a weekly basis for the year. The assignments for 2023 <br />were determined at the Board of County Commissioners Office Admin <br />meeting earlier on and they will continue to provide updates at <br />future meetings. <br />
