2023-05-22 MINUTES 1 <br /> <br />KITTITAS COUNTY <br />IT STUDY SESSION MINUTES <br />BOCC CONFERENCE ROOM, 205 WEST 5TH ROOM 108 - ELLENSBURG <br />Regular Meeting <br /> <br />MONDAY 11:00 AM May 22, 2023 <br />Board members present: Laura Osiadacz, Brett Wachsmith <br />Others: Doug Fessler, Zane Kinney <br />Call to Order <br />Citizen Comments (1 min. time limit) <br />None present. <br />NetApp Storage Expansion Project Update <br />Doug Fessler informed the Board that the data storage expansion has become of critical <br />importance and that IT will not wait for a potential grant to purchase the minimum amount of <br />equipment needed at this time. The intention is to proceed with an effort to obtain grant funding <br />to pay for even further expansion soon. Mr. Fessler also recognizes and appreciates the <br />Prosecuting Attorney Office for its continued assistance in the grant application process and <br />funding part of this project. <br />Request Board Signature on Professional Services Agreement for Network Services at New <br />PA Building <br />This agenda item has been withdrawn and will be presented at the next available opportunity. <br />Discussion/Decision – IT Recruitment <br />Mr. Fessler requested, and the Board directed that an offer be made to hire a past employee, Bill <br />Davis, to fill the vacant position of System/Network Administrator III. <br />Other Business <br />Commissioner Brett Wachsmith called an Executive Session, with the intention of no action <br />being taken at 11:31am. <br />RCW 42.30.110 <br />(1) Nothing contained in this chapter may be construed to prevent a governing body from <br />holding an executive session during a regular or special meeting: <br />(g) To evaluate the qualifications of an applicant for public employment or to review the <br />performance of a public employee.
