Ohl <br /> <br />RECOMMENDATION: <br />Approve resolution to award a construction contract bid to Belsaas & Smith Construction <br /> <br />BRIEFING SUMMARY: <br />- For the upcoming Wetland Mitigation construction project, Bowers Field working <br />with Century West held an open bid session. <br />- On April 26, Bowers Field held an open bid session for the Wetland Construction <br />project. 4 companies submitted bids to which Belsaas & Smith Construction <br />submitted the lowest bid. <br />- The bid was recommended by Century West and was concurred with by the FAA. <br /> <br />BACKGROUND: <br />On April 26th, Bowers Field working with Century West accepted 4 bids for the <br />upcoming Wetland Mitigation Construction Project. After reviewing the 4 bids it was <br />determined that Belsaas & Smith Construction submitted the lowest bid. A resolution to <br />enter a contract with Belsaas & Smith is no required. <br /> <br />DISCUSSION: <br />I recommend approving the resolution to award Belsaas & Smith Construction a contract <br />to complete the Wetland Mitigation Construction project at the airport. <br /> <br />Belsaas & Smith along with 3 other companies submitted bids on April 26 th to which <br />Belsaas & Smith submitted the lowest bid. Once all bids were received, they were <br />forwarded to Century West, to which they reviewed and confirmed that Belsaas & Smith <br />provided the lowest bid. Century West then recommended awarding the construction <br />contract to Belsaas & Smith. Once the recommendation was received, it was forwarded to <br />the FAA, to which they provided a concurrence letter that Belsaas & Smith did in fact <br />provide the lowest bid. <br /> <br />Now that the company has been recommended and concurred with, a resolution is needed <br />from the BoCC to award the contract to Belsaas & Smith construction.
