BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />COUNTY OF KITTITAS <br />STATE OF WASHINGTON <br />RESOLUTION NO. <br />DECLARING TAX PARCEL 11251 SURPLUS TO COUNTY NEEDS SETTING THE <br />MINIMUM PARCEL VALUE AT $5,000 FOR FUTURE PUBLIC DISPOSAL BY <br />PUBLIC WORKS <br />WHEREAS: The Board of County Commissioners did conduct a public hearing on May <br />16, 2023 receiving testimony on declaring tax parcel No. 11251 surplus to county <br />needs; and <br />WHEREAS: Public Works desires retaining a fifty -foot easement along the centerline of <br />Whiskey Creek supporting potential creek channel improvements; and <br />WHEREAS: The City of Ellensburg has declared Tax Parcel No. 11251 as being <br />"unbuildable" pursuant to site constraints and environmental restrictions; and <br />WHEREAS: Public Works desires conducting a sealed bid solicitation for interested <br />parties purchasing tax parcel No. 11251 within three days of the Board of County <br />Commission public hearing; <br />NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED: The Board of County Commissioners, after due <br />consideration, does hereby declare tax parcel no. 11251 as surplus to county needs and does set <br />the minimum value of the parcel at $5,000.00. <br />NOW, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: The Board of County Commissioners does direct the <br />Public Works Department to conduct a sealed bid solicitation for disposal of tax parcel 11251 <br />within three days of the public hearing conducted on May 16, 2023. <br />DATED this 16th day of May 2023, at Ellensburg, Washington. <br />Attest: <br />❑ Clerk of the Board- Julie Kjorsvik <br />❑ Deputy Clerk of the Board- Mandy Buchholz <br />BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />KITTITAS COUNTY, WASHINGTON <br />Cory Wright, Chairman <br />Brett Wachsmith, Vice -Chairman <br />Laura Osiadacz, Commissioner <br />
