Due to the unique threats that thenation faces in2022, DHS/FEMA has determined that these six priorities should be addressed by both allocating specificpercentages of H56P funding to certain areas as well as allocating the remaining percentage across the remaining priorities, Thefollorving are the six priority area s for Fy 2022: <br />l) Enhancing the protection of soft targets/crowded places (ST/Cp) <br />2) Enhancing information and intelligence sharing and analysis (llS! <br />3) Combating domestic vlolent extrernism (DVE) <br />4) Enhancing cybersecurity (CSf <br />5) Enhancing community preparedness and resilience (Cp&R) <br />6) Enhancing election security (ES) <br />Washington State will meet the 22SHSP priorities across multiple state and local projects. <br />National Priority Areas <br />wA sHsP National Prlority: community preparedness and Resllience <br />community orSanizations are the backbone of civic life and therefore, rnust have the capabilities to withstand acts of terrorism <br />and provide essential services, especially to members of underserved communities, in the aftermath of an attack. Focus onequlty and lnvesting in strategies that meet the needs of underserved communities willstrengthen the whole of community <br />system of emertencY management. The whole community includes children; older adults; individuals with disabitities, andothers with access and functional needs; those from religious, racial, and ethnically diverse backgrounds; and people with limlted <br />English proficiency.
