We, acting as a full Board of Commissioners, want to clearly communicate the importance of <br />recreational motorized vehicle opportunities to many of our constituents. We request that TNC <br />directly consider what motorized opportunities could be supported in the Cle Elum Ridge lands <br />while still meeting the conservation value goals for the property. In particular, we request an <br />evaluation of opportunities to improve accessibility of these lands by a diverse user group, allow <br />for the future development of emergency evacuation routes, and promote connectivity from our <br />Upper County Communities to State and Forest Service lands. These potential uses include but <br />are not restricted to off-road vehicle (ORV) trail development. <br />To summarize, we view the proposed economic analysis as helpful and want to request direct <br />consideration of motorized opportunities on the Cle Elum Ridge lands.
